On the southern end of Jl Gootama in Ubud, this wonderful homestay (in Indonesian parlance, it just means it's a small family-run hotel) is a fine example of the excellent lodging bargains available in town. There are smaller downstairs rooms, but go for the upstairs one instead -- a huge affair with two bathrooms, hot water and tasteful Balinese decorative touches. The accompanying patio is a great place to relax in the mornings or late afternoons.
